Gina Carano Fans Celebrate Ex-The Mandalorian Actress on International Women's Day

The last couple of months have been nothing short of crazy for mixed martial arts fighter-turned-actress Gina Carano. We're approaching the first month since the former Cara Dune star was "unceremoniously" fired by Lucasfilm due to her social media behavior that has ticked off a lot of fans and critics. For months, they rallied against Carano with the #FireGinaCarano movement and the backlash proved to be too intense that Disney had no choice but to remove her from The Mandalorian.

Following her newsmaking ousting from the Star Wars franchise, Gina is looking to write the next chapter of her life and career and although she's ready to move forward from The Mandalorian, she isn't leaving behind the traces of her "horrible" past with Disney and Lucasfilm. In fact, she said that she'll stand up to the people who "bullied" her and countless other stars and employees.

Now, as the world commemorated the annual International Women's Day, Carano's avid followers took to social media to express their love and appreciation for the controversial actress who is now seemingly being portrayed as a beacon of hope and an icon for women empowerment. Check out some of the tweets here:

It's quite evident that Carano's crusade in exposing Disney and Lucasfilm's abusive ways is far from over and I feel like she won't stop until what happens to her is given justice. And while the bridges between her and her former company have undoubtedly been burned, at least she's already found a fallback in Ben Shapiro and The Daily Wire. I'm really not a huge fanatic of her socio-political views but good luck on her future endeavors, I guess.

Meanwhile, The Mandalorian's third season will begin filming next month.
