Lots of summer 2024 anime have gotten premiere announcements over the past weeks, and now, the Giji Harem release date has also been revealed.
This new harem anime’s premiere was revealed recently with the release of a brand-new trailer that also previews the show’s ending theme song.
What’s more, the trailer also shows off the anime’s cute visuals, not to mention that it also announces more of the main cast members.
Based on its story and cast, Giji Harem is a show that romance anime fans may want to put on their watchlist for the upcoming season.
Giji Harem Anime Release Date Confirmed
Giji Harem is a new anime by Nomad, the studio behind shows such as the supernatural comedy Dropkick on My Devil! and the romantic comedy Koikimo.
As with most rom-com anime, this series is based on a manga of the same name, though the source material is already complete. The original manga was serialized in Monthly Shonen Sunday from June 2018 to March 2021.
Given its monthly release schedule, the manga only has six volumes, so there’s a chance this anime adaptation will cover the entire story.
Fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out though, as the Giji Harem anime will be released on July 5.
Anime fans will also be delighted with the show’s voice cast as it features lots of popular VAs.
Notable cast members include Saori Hayami (Yor Forger in Spy x Family) as Rin Nanakura, Nobuhiko Okamoto (Bakugo in My Hero Academia) as Eiji Kitahama, and Junichi Suwabe (Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen) as Motokuni Nakayama.
Where to Watch Giji Harem: Streaming Platform Predictions
The Giji Harem anime will air in Japan on July 6 via Tokyo MX. It will also be streamed on various platforms such as ABEMA and U-Next.
There’s no word yet on streaming release plans for the show outside of Japan, though it’s likely going to be picked up by either Crunchyroll or HIDIVE, as is the case with most seasonal anime.
Given that many of the studio’s works have been picked up by Crunchyroll, it’s likely that the anime streaming giant will also stream the anime as part of its summer 2024 lineup.
Giji Harem Is an Intriguing ‘Pseudo-Harem’ Anime
This series follows Eiji Kitahama, a high school student who wishes to be popular. His junior in the drama club, Rin Nanakura, aims to help him as she uses her acting skills to get him a harem of girls.
Even though they may be acting, the girls in Eiji’s harem have genuine feelings, but the question is if Rin also has feelings for him.
While it has the trappings of a harem anime, this series promises to be an even more lighthearted take on the genre that should satisfy fans who want something light to watch next season.
