(G)I-DLE Shuhua has been vocal about the negative things happening around her.

Shuhua, a Taiwanese member of the girl group (G)I-DLE, is far from the usual maknae of any other group. Instead of having a sweet and innocent impression, fans know her for being straightforward and savage.

The idol indeed showed that side again after the recent 2022 Waterbomb Festival.

It turned out that people started pointing their water guns at her and shot her in the face.

In the end, she warned those concertgoers that she would attack them with an umbrella if it happens to her again. She also asked everyone not to do it again to her and anyone else.

Videos of the incident have since gone viral. Shuhua can be seen turning her head to the side and even stepping back, but people continuously shot her until the end of the girl group’s performance.

(G)I-DLE Shuhua Shares Thoughts About Harassment in China

Weeks before the Waterbomb Festival, Shuhua expressed her dismay and concern after a group of men in Tangshan, China, were caught brutally beating a woman.

SupChina reported that the woman suffered harassment after turning down one of the men. It sparked demands to address misogyny in the country, especially since other men who were nearby did not come to help.

Meanwhile, the few women who tried to stop it ended up getting attacked, as well.

In a post on Weibo (as translated by fans), she asked the police not to show mercy to people who have been attacking others. She also took her time to encourage fans who felt down after the incident.

The police eventually arrested all nine men who were involved in the attack.
