(G)I-DLE vocalist Miyeon confirms that she will be debuting as a solo artist.
On April 6, news outlets revealed that Miyeon would release her first solo album later this month.
Cube Entertainment then confirmed the news and extended their hopes that fans would give Miyeon love and support on this new challenge as a soloist.

Miyeon’s Position As The Main Vocalist Of (G)I-DLE
Miyeon debuted as a member of (G)I-DLE in May 2018 alongside Soyeon, Minnie, Yuqi, and Shuhua. She has established herself as a member of the girl group with hits such as “Hann,” “Senorita,” “Oh My God,” and “Hwa.”
The group’s debut track “LATATA” also received an enthusiastic response, having (G)I-DLE win its first music show trophy 20 days after its release.
Miyeon has played a reliable position as the group’s main vocalist and has also carried out activities of her own.
In particular, Miyeon had released a collaboration single with rapper Hangzoo, titled “Cart.” She also showed her presence as an OST singer, lending her voice to the Kdramas Tale of the Nine-Tailed, Replay: The Moment, Adult Trainee, and Moonshine.

Miyeon As An Actress
In addition to her music career, Miyeon also starred in several Kdramas. This includes the KakaoTV film Her Bucket List, Replay: The Moment, Delivery, and Adult Trainee.
Miyeon also is a host for Mnet’s M Countdown alongside actor Nam Yoon Su.
Meanwhile, Miyeon is expected to diligently present her high-quality singing and star quality as a solo artist, which she had already worked on over the past four years with (G)I-DLE.

Furthermore, (G)I-DLE had recently released its 1st full album, I NEVER DIE, on March 14 with the title track “TOMBOY.”
The recent album settled on top of the Melon chart and currently took home seven music show trophies. I NEVER DIE also ranked first on the iTunes Top Album Charts in 24 regions, proving the girl group’s incredible global presence.
