Ghostbusters 2020 Director Reveals Main Cast Including Young Captain Marvel Star

Ghostbuster fans were pretty surprised when Columbia Pictures Announced that it had decided to work on Ghostbusters 3 together with the original Ghostbusters director's son, Jason Reitman. Not only was did the announcement come out of nowhere, but the news came with a creepy teaser trailer that only added hype for the Ghostbusters sequel.

Now, it looks like Ghostbusters 3 is coming along nicely because Reitman has just confirmed a few members of the film's cast which includes young Captain Marvel star, McKenna Grace.

Taking to Twitter, Reitman revealed some of the main cast of his film. This includes Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard (who also appeared in Andy Muschietti's It), The Leftover's Carry Croon, and McKenna Grace who starred as young Carol Danvers in Brie Larson's debut as Captain Marvel.

The director didn't offer too many details in his post aside from telling fans to "Meet the family," which is a caption which can be read two ways. Either the filmmaker is welcoming Wolfhard, Croon, and Grace into his Ghostbusters 3 family or he's implying that the three are going to play characters related to each other in the film.

Check out the tweet down here:

If Reitman is implying that the three are going to play a family on the big screen, then it's very likely that we'll get to see Coon as the mother of Wolfhard and Grace in Ghostbusters 3. But one of the bigger questions is whether Coon's character might be linked to the original Ghostbusters, if she could actually be one of the original member's daughters, linking all three to the original Ghostbusters movie.

Let's wait and see.

Ghostbusters 3 premieres July 10, 2020.
