Ghost In The Shell Gets Two New IMAX Posters

Like it or not, Ghost in the Shell is getting a live-action adaptation, and the hype is building up for the film as the release date draws nearer.

Two new IMAX posters have been released for the movie, and the first features Scarlett Johansson as Major Kusanagi in her camouflage gear. It looks to be taken straight out of the scene from the trailers where she tries to stop an assassination attempt by a group of robotic geisha.

Speaking of robo-geisha, the second poster gives a closer look at one of them. Weather the movie is a hit or not, fans are sure to love the surreal creepiness that comes with a black-eyed geisha-bot. Expect one or two of them to pop-up in a comic convention near you.

Based on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, "GHOST IN THE SHELL" follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic's advancements in cyber technology.

Ghost in the Shell is directed by Rupert Sanders, and stars Scarlett Johansson, "Beat" Takeshi, and Michael Pitt. The movie is slated for a release on March 31.
