The IT reboot was a big hit back in 2017, and everyone is gearing up for the sequel coming later this year. The film has just released a new featurette via Fandango, and it gives us a good look at the upcoming sequel, plus commentary on this next film from writer Stephen King.
Admittedly, the recent trailers for IT 2 have been very tame, and we're only seeing a minimal amount of Pennywise in the movie. Then again, the whole point of the movie is not knowing what's coming next, so I imagine the PR department has a lot of fancy juggling to do when it comes to promoting the movie while not giving away too many of the scares.
For now, it looks like IT: Chapter Two is definitely going to mark the end of the story for the Losers Club. Then again, I imagine it's not the last we've seen of Pennywise. Some guess if this movie manages to make bank, we're going to get a Pennywise prequel, which will likely cover his origin. It's possible we'll also see how terrorizes people throughout the years, eventually ending in his signature clown form.
In the sleepy town of Derry, the evil clown Pennywise returns 27 years later to torment the grown-up members of the Losers' Club, who have long since drifted apart from one another.
Catch IT: Chapter Two when it hits theaters Sept. 6.
