Gemini Man Director Ang Lee is Not Interested in Making Another Comic Book Movie After Hulk

Ang Lee is known for a lot of films, like Brokeback Mountain, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Life of Pi, and the recently released Gemini Man, starring Will Smith. One thing fans might not know, or choose to forget, is that he also worked on the 2003 Hulk movie, which was a mess if we're being honest. Sure, it tried to be psychological and did try paying tribute to the comics but it just didn't work out.

So, when Ang Lee was asked by ComicBook.com if he was interested in making another comic book adaptation, he said no. Lee admits that comic books have affected the way he makes his films but the veteran director feels that there are other kinds of movies he'd rather make right now. Usually, you never say never but this was pretty definitive.

"Probably not. The comic book did great inspiration for me in terms of film-making. I learned a lot from their skills, including different panels, including the use of colors. I feel a little old for that, there are other explorations to do."

Well, at least he didn't say they "weren't cinema." While Lee's Gemini Man hasn't gotten great reviews, there are more movies for him to make and it will be interesting to see what he makes. It really is a shame that his 2003 Hulk movie wasn't very good but it wasn't completely awful and did try being different, at the very least.

Gemini Man will be coming out this Friday on October 11. Hulk is available now on Blu-ray and DVD, though you're better off watching The Avengers or Thor: Ragnarok if you want a good Hulk fix.
