Game Of Thrones Video Game From Skyrim Developer Leaked

TheElder Scrolls games and George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones have plenty of things in common. Both series' are of the dark fantasy genre, and have a big focus on Dragon-based characters. It looks like both worlds are about to collide, somewhat, as a leak has shown that Bethesda is working on a video game based on the popular HBO series.

Fans noticed that Target has a page that merely says Bethesda: Game of Thrones and nothing else. Curiously, Target hasn't taken it down yet, so there might be an announcement regarding this soon, especially with the seventh season ending this week. It's not clear if the game will play like Skyrim or any other installment from The Elder Scrolls, but it does have fans excited for more.

This isn't the first time Game of Thrones has ventured to the video game realm. In 2012, an action RPG simply called Game of Thrones was released by Atlus USA, but got a mixed reception from critics. Soon after, Telltale Games adapted the series into their signature episodic format, calling it Game Of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series, which did better than the previous title and was set in-between the show's earlier seasons.

Only Bethesda knows how this new title will be like, and if we're lucky, details for the new video game will be revealed soon. Until then, fans can only hope that the game is half as good as Skyrim or Fallout 4.
