Game of Thrones' The Mountain Beat A World Record At The 2018 Arnold Strongman Competition

Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, a.k.a. The Mountain (Gregor Clegane) from Game of Thrones, just beat a world record by deadlifting 1,041 pounds.

At this year's Arnold Strongman Competition, Björnsson emerged victorious in the deadlifting competition, beating 2017's winner Brian Shaw and Mikhail Shivlyakov from Russia. The Game of Thrones actor has been planning to break the record for a while, telling Maxim last month that he had plans to beat the 1,031 record, and The Mountain did it!

Watch his world-breaking performance below:

Maybe he's ready to smash some White Walkers now but I know fans would rather see The Mountain fight his brother, Sandor Clegane in the final season.

Game of Thrones is set to return in 2019.
