It has been a while since we've seen John Bradley and Liam Cunningham together. However, the Game of Thrones stars are reuniting for a cool new Netflix series. Interestingly, they will once again be working with showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss on their latest project.
Games Radar confirms that Bradley and Cunningham are part of the cast of the upcoming Netflix series Three-Body Problem. Benioff and Weiss will serve as showrunners of the live-action adaptation of Liu Cixin's sci-fi novel.
It's great to know that Bradley and Cunningham are working with the Game of Thrones showrunners. After all, the actors rose to fame along with the success of the HBO series. We're also loving the idea that they will be collaborating again in the future considering that their GOT characters worked together in the show's final season. Needless to say, we can't wait to see them again in the new show.
Bradley played Samwell Tarly, Jon Snow's friend from the Night's Watch who eventually becomes Grand Maester. Cunningham portrayed Davos Seaworth, a former smuggler who became an ally to Jon after the death of Stannis Baratheon. The two characters were introduced as supporting characters in Game of Thrones but both proved to be important in Jon's rise to power.
Three-Body Problem is set in the future where humanity is preparing for the arrival of an alien race. The book's title is a reference to the aliens' star system. The novel is known for being the first Asian book to win the Hugo Award in 2015.
Bradley and Cunningham will be joined in by Eiza González, Benedict Wong, Jovan Adepo, Tsai Chin, Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Alex Sharp, Sea Shimooka, Saamer Usmani, and Zine Tseng. For now, their roles in the series adaptation of Three-Body Problem have not yet been revealed. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
