Eternals Star Kit Harington Addresses Awesome Reunion with Game of Thrones Co-Star Richard Madden

Game of Thrones fans had one particular reason to look forward to Eternals. After all, the Marvel Cinematic Universe film will star Kit Harington and Richard Madden, who played Jon Snow and Robb Stark, respectively. So what was it like being reunited with the former King in the North? Harington shared how he and Madden celebrated their latest onscreen reunion.

Back in August 2019, people were delighted when it was confirmed that Kit Harington will be joining the cast of Eternals. Not surprisingly, the Gunpowder star was also excited about being a part of the MCU flick since it meant working with Madden again.

But what happened when Harington and Madden were finally reunited on the set of Eternals? The Pompeii star told Variety that they immediately hugged it out.

"We had a big hug," Harington said. He then admitted that he had always close to Madden.

"We’ve been close friends for a long time. We had a shared experience of Thrones in the first three seasons — the three seasons that Richard was in — where it sort of blew up and became this Goliath of a show. And, you know, we were both 23. We’d kind of came up together and that creates quite a special bond," Harington continued.

Interestingly, Harington also pointed out that he and Madden barely share any scenes together. Still, that doesn't mean they weren't the best of friends.

"So actually, we have a very close friendship, but screen time doesn’t reflect that," he said.

Fans would remember that Jon and Robb were only seen together in the first episode of Game of Thrones. When Jon was sent to the Wall, Robb saw him off saying, "Next time I'll see you, you'll be all in black." Jon responded by saying, "it was always my color." With Harington cast as the Black Knight in Eternals, Robb and Jon's words are set to come true.

It is also unlikely that they will be sharing many scenes in Eternals, but those scenes are expected to give fans of the HBO series something to be happy about.

Eternals will also star Gemma Chan, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Harish Patel, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie. The film premieres in theaters on November 5, 2021.
