Game of Thrones Star Maisie Williams Reveals Her Favorite Anime

HBO

Maisie Williams, best known for her Game of Thrones role as Arya Stark, is one of the voice actors of Rooster Teeth's new animated sci-fi series gen: LOCK. The new series is set 50 years in the future and centers on a brave team capable of controlling powerful mecha in a fight against an oppressive authoritarian force. Williams is playing Cammie MacCloud, a new recruit who tries gen: LOCK, which allows her mind to be uploaded into one of the massive mech suits

During an interview withIGN, Williams talked about her voice acting experience for the new anime as well as how her friend introduced her to various anime shows, and she revealed that she's a fan of One-Punch Man.

"We used to watch this anime called One-Punch Man," Williams told IGN, "I love One-Punch Man."

One-Punch Man is brilliant, and I'm glad to hear that the Arya Stark actress loves the show.

When talking about the challenge as a voice actor, she said, "When you strip away all your other tools as an actor and you can only use your voice. For me, that was a really big challenge. Trying to emote everything through your voice is… I guess for some actors very easy, but for me, I do rely heavily on my facial expressions and my body language."

Written by a manga artist known as ONE, One-Punch Man is an action comedy manga/anime series that parodies various anime tropes.

Game of Thrones Season 8 is set to premiere on April 14.
