Game of Thrones Star Maisie Williams Discusses Her Feelings Towards Spoilers

Spoilers can be a really big deal to many, especially when it comes to massively popular television series like HBO's fantasy epic Game of Thrones. While some wrap themselves around these little rumors about the series and up with theories and predictions about the things to come, Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams reveals how much she hates spoilers and thinks they're nothing short of "childish."

Speaking in an interview with RadioTimes, Williams gives fans her thoughts on spoilers for Game of Thrones, revealing how upset she is whenever information about the series manages to leak out online.

"It really, really upsets me," Williams told us. "Because, there's only a certain group of people who'd look at that anyway, compared to the audience that watches the show. It hurts. It's just like, oh we wanted to tell this story, and yeah, lots of people don't want to read it, and don't want to look at it.

What hurts Maisie the most however is the thought that the Game of Thrones leak could actually come from someone on the show.

"But then it's even more annoying when you know [the leaks] might be from someone on the inside, and it's just like… you're trying to make something really cool, that is really cool, and people really like, and it's like ‘stop ruining it'."

"It's such a childish, annoying thing to do. And yeah, it's sad. It really annoys me."

Most fans would probably agree with Williams. Watching a series is enjoyed the most when there's little to no information that would spoil the novelty of the experience, and many would want to steer clear of spoilers as much as they can. But then again, the internet is dark and full of terrors.

Game of Thrones season 7 premieres on the small screen during Summer 2017 on HBO.
