Game of Thrones Star Jacob Anderson Cast as Louis in Interview with the Vampire Series

AMC's Interview With The Vampire series has found its Louis de Pointe du Lac! Former Game of Thrones star Jacob Anderson has been cast as the titular bloodsucker in the live-action adaptation of Anne Rice's classic novel.

Variety confirms that Anderson is joining the cast of Interview with the Vampire, which is actually more of a sequel to Rice's book. The report doesn't reveal much about what Louis has been up to all this time, but it's clear that the show is giving the character a major makeover.

It was previously confirmed that Interview with the Vampire is tweaking some key details about Louis. Instead of being a former plantation owner, the adaptation has described the vampire as a brothel owner with skin that appears to be "sculpted from Ceylon ebony." However, Louis' brilliant green eyes are still included in the description.

Anderson is not the first cast member confirmed for Interview with the Vampire. It has already been announced that Australian actor Sam Reid will portray Lestat de Lioncourt in the series. There is no word yet on who will take the role of the interviewer Daniel Malloy. The casting call had been looking for an actor in his 60s, which confirms that the adaptation takes place several years after the first interview.

It might take some time before we get to see Anderson's version of Louis in Interview with the Vampire. After all, the series is still in development and it is unclear when production will start. In the meantime, fans can see Anderson in Doctor Who Season 13, which premieres in late 2021.
