While fans are still disappointed over the Game of Thrones finale, which was poorly-written and clearly rushed, they still love the show's actors and they were in for a shock when several sites claimed that Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jamie Lannister) was dead. Thankfully, that isn't the case since Coster-Waldau went to Instagram and informed everyone that he's still alive. We're all happy that he's alive and extremely angry that fake news like this has spread.
Unsurprisingly, Coster-Waldau was not pleased with the news since reporting someone's death is always going to be a big deal and "news" like this is just manipulative garbage. The Game of Thrones actor called out the reporters who spread the news and those who paid said reporters to make sure that the story was published. He is happy that some of the websites pulled down that story but he's understandably upset.
Here's the former Jamie Lannister telling it straight:
Thank God Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is still alive. Hopefully, we don't see any more fake news like this but that probably won't happen, with the internet being easily accessed by everyone. Be better and stop spreading fake news guys.
Game of Thrones can currently be streamed on all of the HBO streaming apps, including the upcoming HBO Max. George R.R. Martin has teased a completely different ending for his books.
