Game Of Thrones: Sophie Turner Reveals Who Was Responsible For Coffee Cup Blunder

The infamous coffee cup may no longer exist in the Game of Thrones universe but it continues to be a hot topic for fans of the HBO series. For instance, people want to know who had brought the cup into the set in the first place. Sophie Turner has finally addressed the mini-controversy and revealed just who it was who sneaked their latte into Winterfell.

Turner was recently a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where the host somehow accused the X-Men: Dark Phoenix star of being the one who brought the cup into the set. Fallon first had a huge Game of Thrones fan named Joe Jonas (maybe you've heard of him) ask if she was responsible for the blunder before bringing out the evidence.

As evidence, Fallon showed a photo of Turner with Game of Thrones co-star Bella Ramsey where Turner is clearly holding a coffee cup.

Turner immediately defended herself, revealing that the photo with Ramsey was taken in a scene where Ramsey's character Lyanna Mormont was still very much alive. However, the cup turned up in The Last of the Starks, the episode where Lyanna is already dead so Turner couldn't possibly be responsible for the cup's appearance. In addition to that, Turner claimed that the cast and crew had identical cups for their drinks.

So whose cup was it? Turner pointed out that it had to be whoever had the cup in front of them in the first place. "Emilia Clarke," she said. "She's the culprit."

Of course, it's all a joke and we'll probably never know who brought the coffee cup to Westeros. Hopefully, people can simply forget about it and look forward to what happens next in the final season of Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 will air on HBO on May 12.
