Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 Photos Shows Daenerys Targaryen's New Foes

There are only two episodes left in the final season of Game of Thrones yet it looks like we're just about to meet another bad guy. The first photos from Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 reveal the aftermath of Daenerys Targaryen's defeat in The Last of the Starks and a better look at the enemy she will face this Sunday.

The first photo shows Jon Snow with Varys arriving at Dragonstone. Seeing these two together might have fans wondering if the Spider has already asked Jon if he would be interested in challenging Daenerys' claim and taking over the Iron Throne himself.

Meanwhile, Daenerys is clearly still distraught after the death of her beloved dragon Rhaegal and her loyal adviser Missandei. It looks like she had tried to remove her braids, which have been a symbol of her victories in the past. She may look depressed, but there is little doubt that Dany is ready for revenge in the next episode.

Tyrion Lannister looks greatly concerned in his photo. Is he listening to what Daenerys is planning to do to King's Landing? Or is he faced with the dilemma of having to tell Dany that Jon is going after the Iron Throne?

Grey Worm might still be mourning the death of Missandei but he isn't showing signs of slowing down. He appears to be listening intently to what Dany has planned for the battle.

Jon Snow and Ser Davos Seaworth prepare for the fight outside the gates of King's Landing. Luckily, it looks like this battle will take place in broad daylight so no need to adjust the brightness in your TV screen.

Tyrion joins Jon and Davos behind the remaining Unsullied and Dothraki as they all face the Golden Company outside King's Landing. We'll finally get to see if the sellswords are worth all that gold.

Here's Harry Strickland, the leader of the Golden Company. He might be working for Cersei Lannister but there are speculations that Strickland is in Westeros for a completely different reason. Is he also after the Dragon Queen?

Cersei Lannister certainly looks pleased with what she is looking down on. The current Queen of the Seven Kingdoms might be confident that she can defeat Daenerys but some believe that the Mother of Dragons still has one more trick up her sleeve.

Euron Greyjoy already appeared to be looking up at something truly jaw-dropping in the episode's teaser. In this photo, he still looks alarmed and it might have something to do with Daenerys getting some backup at the last minute.

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 will air on HBO on May 12.
