Game of Thrones' Sickest Villain Will Soon Be a Charming Leprechaun in American Gods Season 3

Iwan Rheon might be a nice guy in real life but many are always going to associate him with Ramsay Bolton from Game of Thrones. Ramsay was one of the sickest villains ever and we don't just mean in the Game of Thrones lore; he is one of the baddest men in fiction. This is why many are going to find it weird that he is going to be a nice, good-natured leprechaun in American Gods Season 3.

Are we being set up for a swerve? It feels like we're being set up for a swerve.

The official American Gods Instagram - can't believe I just said that sentence - confirmed that Iwan Rheon will be a leprechaun named Liam Doyle, who has been described as a charming, good-natured leprechaun. While Rheon hasn't been typecast as a psycho villain yet - they tried making him one in Marvel's Inhumans but that show was too bad for its own good - so this should be fine.

While The Mandalorian has lessened the hype for other shows, there's no doubt that American Gods is still considered a quality program by those with Amazon Prime. Based on the popular Neil Gaiman book, the show has become something of a cultural phenomenon and helped legitimize Amazon Prime as a streaming service, along with The Boys.

Currently, American Gods Season 3 doesn't have a release date. The first two seasons can be streamed on Amazon Prime right now.
