Game of Thrones fans might have a year to go till they get their hands on the eighth and final season of HBO's wildly popular fantasy epic, but it seems like the fanbase has started working on its different theories for the last run of the show.
One of these theories on Reddit gives a detailed breakdown of how the battle between the living and the dead might play out in the last season of Game of Thrones, speculating on what might happen in the War of the Five Kings.
According to the theory, Cersei Lannister (Leana Headey) will suffer an early blow with her brother Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) taking the family army to help the fight up in the North. That leaves Cersei relatively unarmed in the war to come.
The Night King, riding on his ice dragon Viserion, then turn Cersei into a Night Queen and lay a trap for Euron Greyjoy returning with the Golden Company. Jaime will then fulfill the Valonqar prophecy and kill his own sister. He'll also survive to become the 1000th Lord of Commander of the Night's Watch. At the end of the war, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) abdicates as Daenary's (Emilia Clarke) Hand to settle at Castlerly Rock and turn it into a vineyard. Jon (Kit Harrington) and Dany will expect a child, or children, but the Mother of Dragons will end up dying in childbirth. All three of Dany's dragons also die, but before dying one of them lays a few eggs to carry on.
It's a pretty lengthy theory really, and it's one of the many theories out there about how Game of Thrones might end. But above the rest, this one seems to be the more positive fan theory. What do you think? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section below.
