Game Of Thrones’ Kit Harington Reveals That The Final Season Wore Out Its Stars

Game of Thrones is finally making its way back to HBO this year, and fans are expecting the series to go out with a bang now that the hit fantasy epic's eighth and final season set for release. Game of Thrones has always raised the bar when it comes to production value, and according to showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff, fans are going to get episodes that each seem to last as long as a blockbuster movie.

With so much work and so much pressure planted on the show's cast and crew, Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington opens up about how rough it was for him and his co-stars to work on the final batch of episodes of the fantasy epic. Speaking in an interview with GQ, Harington admitted that season 8 of Game of Thrones had a huge emotional toll on everyone working on the project.

"The last season of Thrones seemed to be designed to break us," Harington told the news outlet."Everyone was broken at the end. I don't know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so fucking tiring," added the actor. "We were sleep deprived. It was like it was designed to make you think, Right, I'm fucking sick of this. I remember everyone walking around towards the end going, ‘I've had enough now. I love this, it's been the best thing in my life, I'll miss it one day – but I'm done.'"

This doesn't come as a surprise. Season 8 is expected to be the pinnacle of the series – the moment where Game of Thrones no longer becomes a battle for the Iron Throne but a battle between the land of the living and the land of the dead. And we're pretty sure that it isn't going to be easy for Jon Snow, Dany (Emilia Clarke), Sansa (Sophie Turner) and everyone else set to appear in the next season of Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones season 8 is set to arrive on HBO this April.
