Game of Thrones: Kit Harington Praises House of the Dragon Showrunners

There is little doubt that House of the Dragon is already becoming a huge hit and it looks like the cast members of Game of Thrones are loving the spin-off show's success. Kit Harington has just admitted that he has been watching the prequel series right from the start and has nothing but praise for its showrunners!

Kit Harington was recently in attendance at the Toronto International Film Festival where he was promoting his latest project Baby Ruby. Still, the Eternals actor took time to talk about Game of Thrones and revealed to Entertainment Tonight Canada that he has been watching House of the Dragon.

“I’m really enjoying it,” Harington said. He then added that he watches the show because of the bond he has with co-showrunner Miguel Sapochnik who had previously directed episodes for Game of Thrones.

“My friend Miguel showruns it, so I’m really enjoying it,” Harington said. He then praised both Sapochnik and co-showrunner Ryan Condal on their work.

“I think they’ve done a fantastic job,” Harington stated.

It's great to know that Kit Harington is one of the millions of people who has been watching House of the Dragon and that he is supporting Miguel Sapochnik's new project. However, Sapochnik has previously been confirmed to leave the series in its second season. Still, we're hoping that Harington will continue to support the Game of Thrones spin-off.

Kit Harington has also been confirmed to work on a Game of Thrones standalone series of his own. It was previously announced that a sequel show will follow Jon Snow after the events in the original series.

For now, Harington is the only Game of Thrones star confirmed to return for the new show following Jon Snow. In the meantime, the fourth episode of House of the Dragon will premiere on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at 9:00 PM EST.
