The HBO series Game of Thrones has finally come to an end and the fate of all the characters have actually been decided. But who was the best player all this time? This was actually revealed in the Season 8 finale.

In The Iron Throne, Daenerys Targaryen was well on her way to becoming a world-class tyrant. However, Jon Snow prevented this by murdering his own queen and causing Drogon to burn down the Throne that Dany had spent all her life trying to claim.
So what happens when both Jon and Tyrion Lannister are imprisoned by the Unsullied? The representatives of the remaining Houses of Westeros meet up to decide on the next ruler. Amazingly, Tyrion suggests that Bran Stark should rule and the other lords agree with him. Except, of course, for Sansa Stark, who declares that the North will remain an independent kingdom. Not surprisingly, Bran agrees.
It's a mildly surprising outcome in the series but it also proves that Sansa knew exactly what she was doing all this time. She had told Tyrion about Jon's true heritage knowing that Tyrion would see Jon as the best possible ruler of the Seven Kingdoms. Although Jon didn't go on to rule, Westeros still got a King that allowed Sansa to control her own kingdom and thus naming her Queen of the North.
So was Sansa the best player in all of Westeros? Fans certainly believe so.
It is certainly is over and we now have confirmation about Sansa Stark being the best player of the Game of Thrones. Long live the Queen in the North.
