Game Of Thrones: David Benioff Reveals Favorite Season 8 Scene

It may not have been perfect but we all have at least one favorite moment from Game of Thrones Season 8. Interestingly, co-showrunner David Benioff probably agrees with you when he had to choose the best scene from the final season.

Benioff and Game of Thrones co-creator DB Weiss recently sat for an interview with Star Channel (via Watchers on the Wall). When asked about which scene was their favorite, Benioff admitted that the one he enjoyed the most was not even from the episode they directed.

"One that sticks out to me, because Brienne of Tarth has always been one of our favorite characters, and the moment when she's knighted by Jaime Lannister is just a wonderful thing in the story, and to see [Gwendoline Christie]'s face in that moment, I've probably watched that scene 400 times and every time it gets me," Benioff admitted. "It makes me a little bit thrilled, and a little bit tear up, so love that scene."

How can we forget that scene? In the episode A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Brienne revealed that she has not been knighted despite all of her accomplishments. Jaime immediately confirmed that a knight can also knight anyone and proceeds to do so. It's a heartwarming moment one rarely sees in the show and one that was beautifully written by Bryan Cogman.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms might actually be the reason why Christie is one of the nominees at the upcoming Emmy Awards. Although the actress had to submit herself for a nomination, it's easy to see that the Academy agreed with her.
