Game Of Thrones’ Charles Dance Wants To Appear In Prequel Spinoff Series

The authoritarian Tywin Lannister might not have made it past Game of Thrones' fourth season on HBO, but now that the fantasy epic is down to its last batch of episodes, Charles Dance says he'd love to head back to Westeros and play a part in any of the show's spinoff series.

Sitting down to speak with the Metro about Game of Thrones, the 71-year-old actor remembered his time on the series and then went on to say that if he had the chance, he'd appear in the Game of Thrones prequel series if they managed to do as well as the original show.

"If it was in the same calibre, yes. Because Game Of Thrones really was as good as it gets. It's a fantastic series. I look back on it fondly. Occasionally you have long days in the cold, the horse doesn't behave properly, or the armour sticks in the back of your neck, but we're not down in the mines digging for coal, we're actors. We're pretending for everything, and we're very lucky to be able to do that."

Dance made an exceptional Tywin Lannister on Game of Thrones, and he character could fit right in a prequel before Robert Baratheon's uprising against the Mad King. Let's just wait and see what HBO does with that idea.

Game of Thrones' eighth and final season airs on HBO sometime in 2018 or 2019.
