It looks like the X-Men movie universe is about to bring in a lot of new characters. Hot on the heels of this year's X-Men: Apocalypse, Hitfix is reporting that two actresses are in talks to join the cast of New Mutants: The Witch star Anya Taylor-Joy and Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams.
According to Hitfix, Taylor-Joy will be playing Magic, also known as Illya Rasputin; and Williams will be Wolfsbane, also known as Rahne Snclair. They'll be joining a team that includes Storm, played by Alexandra Shipp; James McAvoy's Professor X is expected to be in the movie as well. The film is being directed by Josh Boone (best known for The Fault in Our Stars).
Boone, who's been attached to New Mutants for a while, still has to cast actors for Cannonball, Mirage, and Sunspot, and if he's now casting, it seems like the movie is coming sooner rather than later.
Thanks to the success of Deadpool and the recent X-Men films, 20th Century Fox's X-Universe is getting more interesting.
