Gal Gadot Celebrates Shazam! Success, Welcomes Zachary Levi To DC Universe

How's this for a shoutout that would make Billy Batson and Freddy Freeman all giddy? Gal Gadot has just celebrated the successful opening weekend of Shazam! and has officially welcomed Zachary Levi into the DC Extended Universe.

Gadot took to Twitter to share a photo of a Wonder Woman action figure celebrating with a Shazam toy. In addition to that, she wrote an awesome caption inviting people to watch the new DCEU film. Take a look at the tweet below.

"SHAZAMING the world!!!" Gadot wrote. "Congratulations on opening weekend! This movie is so fun, you all need to see it! So proud of you @ZacharyLevi! Welcome to the universe brother! We've been waiting for you. Celebrating you from 8,000 ft."

That certainly sounds like something Diana Prince would say to the latest addition to the DCEU family. We're just wondering how Billy and Freddy would react to the real Wonder Woman celebrating their success.

Although there were no direct references to Wonder Woman in Shazam!, Freddy is repeatedly seen wearing a T-shirt with the heroine's logo. Nevertheless, we're hoping that a sequel to the film will feature more Wonder Woman Easter eggs.

For now, Gadot appears to be done working on her own sequel. She will reprise her role as the Amazon princess in Wonder Woman 1984, which will also introduce Kristen Wiig as the villainous Cheetah. In addition to that, Chris Pine is expected to return as Steve Trevor while Connie Nielsen and Robin Wright are set to appear as Hippolyta and Antiope, respectively.

Shazam! is currently screening in theaters worldwide. Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled for release on June 5, 2020.
