Gal Gadot and Chris Pine Surprise An NYC Audience Before A Wonder Woman Screening

Gal Gadot was surprisingly launched to demi-godlike status after Wonder Woman released last weekend, and she just seems to be having a fun ride with her sudden burst of popularity. As a treat for some NYC fans, she, along with co-star Chris Pine and WW director Patty Jenkins, surprised an theater full of people who were about to watch Wonder Woman.

Here's Gadot's video:

A lot of people are not undermining Gadot's current status today. Besides being the first woman to lead a blockbuster superhero movie, Gadot is now the face for countless little girls who have now idolized Wonder Woman as their role model. After years of endless male heroes coming out, it's nice to see that women are finally getting represented in such a huge genre.

As far as sequels go, Gadot will be returning as Diana in Zack Snyder's Justice League this November, but Patty Jenkins already has an idea on where to take the sequel. After the first movie had Diana walking around Jolly old London, Jenkins wants to bring Diana to America this time around, maybe in another period piece even.

This is just wishful thinking, but I hope they explore the 60s with at the height of popularity for crime and espionage. I'd love to see Diana trying out all the fashion from that era, and at the same time kick some secret agent butt.

Wonder Woman is currently in theaters.
