Future Alien Movies Could Feature Sigourney Weaver & New Aliens

It may have been almost two decades since Sigourney Weaver starred in Ridley Scott's original Alien movie. But it seems that the director is not averse to letting Weaver reprise her role as Ellen Ripley.

Of course, this isn't without some digital manipulation. After all, Weaver is currently 67 years old. Speaking in an interview (via scans from AVP Galaxy), Scott confirmed this alongside two more movies in the Alien franchise.

"Right now, we've got a ten-page synopsis. John Logan's doing it. And we know where we're going with it."

And in response to whether he is open to having a digitally de-aged Weaver for the role, he is very much open to this idea for Ripley. It's possible that her role will not be as big—think Leia's role in Rogue One, which was a mere few seconds compared to big actions shots.

Apart from Weaver's possible inclusion to future Alien movies, Scott also hinted that there will be different mutations of the Alien. It already started with Alien: Covenant, which supposedly wants to bring back the Xenomorph onto its pedestal of horror. It's highly likely that Scott is gearing up to bring back the scare alongside the substance in succeeding movies.
