Fun Star Wars Stage Show Premieres at the Disney Hollywood Studios Theme Park

Characters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Theme Park have now officially been upgraded in lieu of the multinational company’s acquisition of Star Wars, as well as the Star Wars Land’s construction at the Disneyland Resort and at Walt Disney World.

The characters usually seen in Disney theme parks have reportedly been upgraded from guest stars to main cast members, and now they have their own live stage show.

The live stage show, titled Star Wars: A Galaxy Far Far Away, made its debut today, with footage documented by Inside the Magic (h/t Slash Film). The show isn’t exactly what you would expect of a performance. Characters from all Star Wars films so far strike poses in a sort of pageant.

Take a look at footage below:

There’s also this footage of an additional show with Captain Phasma flanked by a platoon of Stormtroopers marching throughout the park.

The live show is a nice way to distract patrons and keep them busy for the meantime while awaiting the finishing touches to Star Wars Land. It’s a good thing that we’re not really running out of Star Wars films any time soon.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on December 16, while Star Wars: Episode VIII releases on December 15, 2017.
