There is little doubt that people are currently hyped up for the live-action Fullmetal Alchemist sequels that will be released this summer. After all, the poster and trailer hype up the arrival of Scar and the return of Edward and Alphonse Elric. Now, the new stills from the two movies reveal a closer look at new characters Ling Yao, King Bradley, Von Hohenheim, and Olivier Mira Armstrong!
The new images were shared by the official Fullmetal Alchemist films Twitter account and it offers a better look at the characters who had appeared briefly in the trailer. Check it out below.
Ling Yao will be played by Keisuke Watanabe while King Bradley, who he was shown fighting in the trailer, will be portrayed by Hiroshi Tachi. Seiyo Uchino looks perfect as Van Hohenheim while former Battle Royale actress Chiaki Kuriyama appears strong and powerful as Olivier Mira Armstrong.
It's great to finally see all these characters after the Fullmetal Alchemist films were announced. After all, most of them only showed up for mere seconds in the trailer, which focused mostly on the main characters. However, there is little doubt that we'll get to see them all in action later this year.
The first film Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Avenger Scar (Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen - Fukushusha Scar) will introduce the Scarred Man as he faces off against Edward Elric. Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Last Transmutation (Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Kanketsu-hen - Saigo no Rensei) will adapt the manga's final battle.
The movies will also bring back Ryosuke Yamada as Edward Elric, Atomu Mizuishi as Alphonse Elric, Tsubasa Honda as Winry Rockbell, and Dean Fujioka as Roy Mustang.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Avenger Scar will premiere in Japan on May 20, 2022. Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Last Transmutation is scheduled for release on June 24, 2022.
