Frozen's Olaf is Getting a Prequel Short Film

Disney+ has announced the arrival of a brand new Frozen spinoff which shifts its focus from the main antagonists to the lovable snowman Olaf.

Once Upon a Snowman is an original animated short that is said to fill in the gap between the moment Elsa creates Olaf, and the time he meets other beloved characters like Anna and Kristoff.

The streaming service unveiled the official poster for the project, which sees how Elsa created her frosty companion. Check it out below!

It's a smart move on Disney's part to finally expand their icy universe which began in 2013. And with Olaf finally set to get his own prequel, this leaves the door wide open for other characters from the Frozen franchise to get the same treatment and who are we to complain, right?

Once Upon a Snowman premieres on October 23rd exclusively on Disney+.
