Frozen 2's Josh Gad Demands a Star Wars Spinoff for Babu Frik

It looks like star Josh Gad has taken quite a liking to a certain Anzellan droidsmith in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The actor has fallen so in love with Babu Frik, the Frozen star has been taking to social media to demand a spinoff series for the adorable alien.

Taking to Twitter after seeing The Rise of Skywalker, Gad has been rallying the troops by demanding a Star Wars spinoff for Babu Frik.

Babu Frik doesn't have that much screen time in the third and final episode of Disney's sequel trilogy, but his adorable mannerisms and parlance have managed to win the hearts of Star Wars fans all over. Viewers get to meet the Azellan droidsmith during the second half of The Rise of Skywalker when the heroes of the Resistance come across an ancient Sith dagger with an inscribed clue telling them the location of Exegol, the planet where Emperor Palpatine is hiding in. C-3PO manages to decipher the code, but droid is unable to translate the Sith language because of a protocol in his system that forbids the translation of Sith language. Poe then leads the group to Kijimi, a planet where we find Babu Frik, a droidsmith with the ability to crack Threepio.

Ever since his short-lived appearance in Episode IX, fans have been clamoring for more of Babu Frik. Now, it looks like Josh Gad has decided to join the fight, demanding a spinoff for the alien.
