With Frieren becoming one of the biggest anime of the season, it’s only a matter of time before new lines of merch get released. One of the first goodies is a Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End 3-way satchel bag by Tokyo Otaku Mode.
This might seem like a random collab, but it makes sense when you see the bag. That’s because, while this kind of bag doesn’t exist in the anime’s world, its design is inspired by Frieren’s bag of choice.
Frieren Gets a Beautiful Satchel Bag and Pouch Combo
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End made a big impression when it premiered over a month ago. Since then, the anime has captivated fans with its painterly visuals, moving soundtrack, and unique fantasy story.
There’s a lot of competition in Fall 23, but Frieren continues to be one of the most talked-about shows of the season. This isn’t surprising given how well-received its episodes are.
Thanks to the show’s popularity, new Frieren merch will no doubt be unveiled in the coming weeks and months. We now have the first significant one courtesy of Tokyo Otaku Mode.
The main piece in this collection is a 3-way satchel bag that features the anime’s logo on the flap. What makes it a 3-way bag is that it can be used as a shoulder bag, a backpack, or a small briefcase.
Each purchase of the bag also comes with a canvas pouch that features a patch with a funny design of Frieren being swallowed by a mimic.
This isn’t a replica of a satchel in the anime, but its design is inspired by Frieren’s briefcase, which is shown to be her traveling bag of choice.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Collab Also Features Other Collectibles
The bag and pouch set is no doubt the main piece in this collection, but for those who want some Frieren goodies but don’t need a new bag, the collab also comes with other collectibles.
These include an acrylic stand, an acrylic keychain, a postcard, a clear file, and more. All of these collectibles feature an illustration of Frieren with the satchel bag she’s using as a backpack.
Tokyo Otaku Mode’s new Frieren bag and pouch set is priced at JPY 9,900 (around USD 65). It’s not too pricey, but that’s because the bag is made of synthetic leather.
Pre-orders for the bag and the other collectibles are available on the Tokyo Otaku Mode online shop, though the site only ships within Japan.
