Free Guy Surprise Cameo is the Best [SPOILERS] Marvel Scene

There was no shortage of awesome cameos in Free Guy. The new Ryan Reynolds film had an awesome Easter egg at every turn. However, fans are understandably gushing about one particular appearance since it connects the film directly to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The following contains SPOILERS from Free Guy so PROCEED WITH CAUTION

In Free Guy, Reynolds' character Guy faces off against a bigger version of himself called Dude. The fight is intense enough for Guy to need a power-up and the one he chooses is perfect: Captain America's shield.

That's not the only crazy thing that appears in the scene. As the fight continues, the Avengers theme by Alan Silvestri actually plays. At the crucial moment, Guy uses the shield to defend himself from a fatal blow. The scene suddenly jumps to Chris Evans watching the whole thing on his cellphone and he yells, "What the sh-t?!"

It all happens quickly and the entire scene actually has audiences screaming in surprise and delight. After all, it's like seeing Captain America swear while watching somebody else using the Captain America shield.

Free Guy also featured cameos from gamers Jacksepticeye, Ninja, Pokimane, DanTDM, and LazarBeam as well as the late Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek. The film also had several voice cameos from Tina Fey, Dwayne Johnson, and John Krasinski.

But what happened to Hugh Jackman and his supposed cameo in Free Guy? The Logan star had a voice appearance in the movie. Although it's not the reunion that everyone was hoping for, it's still great to know that Jackman and Reynolds did another film together.

Free Guy is now screening in theaters nationwide.
