If there is one thing that fans are already looking forward to following Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox, it would be some major crossovers featuring the X-Men and Fantastic Four. However, it looks like Fox already planned it before Marvel Studios even came up with crossover events. Not surprisingly, Fox's abandoned project almost pit the mutants against the superhero team.

It was previously reported that X-Men: First Class screenwriter admitted that he and former writing partner Ashley Edward Miller were commissioned to pen a screenplay for an X-Men movie that included Fantastic Four, Deadpool, and many more. Now the description of the planned movie has been revealed by The Hollywood Reporter. Check out the full description below.

As Stentz had confirmed, The Bourne Supremacy director Paul Greengrass was already being considered to helm the major crossover. However, the project was scrapped as Fox decided to pursue X-Men: Day of Future Past.
