Forest Whitaker and Katee Sackhoff Confirmed for Star Wars Celebration

Star Wars Celebration may have skipped out of 2018, but the con is coming back this year, and it promises a staggering amount of celebrity guests. We know that the likes of Oscar Isaac and Billy Dee Williams will be coming to Celebration, but now we have confirmation for a couple more familiar faces.

According to StarWars.com, Forest Whitaker a.k.a. Saw Gerrera from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has been confirmed to make an appearance. Katee Sackhoff is also confirmed to be a guest star as well. Though Sackhoff may be best known for her role as Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica¸ she is also the voice of Mandalorian Bo Katan who has appeared in both Clone Wars and Rebels.

Besides Whitaker and Sackhoff, we also have Hugh Quarshie making an appearance in Celebration. He's probably best known for playing Captain Panaka in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

With Celebration still set to come in April, I have a feeling that the guest list will just keep getting longer. While I'm sure that actors like Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, and Mark Hamill will be appearing at the Episode IX panel, I'm kind of crossing my fingers that we get appearances from Solo stars Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, and Emilia Clarke. Hopefully, the fan reaction of their appearance will help Lucasfilm gauge if they should push forward with a Solo sequel.

Star Wars Celebration takes place April 11–15 in Chicago. Star Wars Episode IX comes out Dec. 20.
