Florence Pugh used to love Olivia Wilde very much. As a matter of fact, the “Don’t Worry Darling” actress, who has allegedly been feuding with the film’s director, previously said she was “in love” with Wilde.

Florence Pugh ‘In Love’ With Olivia Wilde Before Their Shocking Spat
During Variety’s Actors on Actors interview special in 2019, Florence Pugh asked Beanie Feldstein what it was like to work with Olivia Wilde. Feldstein, for starters, previously worked with Wilde on “Booksmart,” which marked her directorial debut.
Of Olivia Wilde, Beanie Feldstein said at the time:
“I think you and Olivia would be so drawn to each other. Because she is just as fearless as you are in her own, on-screen and off.”
Florence Pugh was cast in Olivia Wilde’s psychological thriller “Don’t Worry Darling” a year after. The English actress starred in the said film together with Harry Styles, Chris Pine, Nick Kroll and Gemma Chan.
However, things have changed between Pugh and Wilde as they are now said to be feuding. An unnamed source told Page Six:
“I can tell you for a fact that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well as Olivia was still with Jason [Sudeikis] when she first hooked up with Harry.”

Olivia Wilde, however, has nothing but praises for Florence Pugh during a Venice Film Festival press conference on Monday, which the “Don’t Worry Darling” actress skipped.
The girlfriend of Harry Styles, in response to a question about a “falling out” between the pair, stated:
“Florence is a force. We are so grateful she’s able to make it tonight [for the red carpet] despite being in production on ‘Dune.’ “I know as a director how disruptive it is to lose an actor even for a day, so I’m very grateful to her and to [‘Dune’ director Denis Villeneuve] for helping us. And we’ll get to celebrate her work tonight. I can’t say how honored I am to have her as our lead. She’s amazing.”

“As for all the endless tabloid gossips and all the noise out there, the internet feeds itself. I don’t need to contribute; I think it’s sufficiently well-nourished.”
Florence Pugh To Skip ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ New York Premiere
Meanwhile, Florence Pugh is reportedly not attending the New York premiere of her latest movie, which Olivia Wilde had directed.
Reports claimed that the actress’ absence is due to her hectic schedule shooting for Dune: Part Two in Budapest, and director Denis Villeneuve reportedly cannot cut her loose for a press event for another movie.

An unnamed tattler told Rolling Stone:
“From what I understand, there is friction, but I don’t know why. It’s pretty clear she’s choosing not to be a part of the PR. It’s clearly not beneficial to Olivia to not have her be a part of the PR. It has to be a Florence decision.”
Another tipster told the publication:
“Do I think her and Flo hate each other? Absolutely not. Was it fun and enjoyable on set? Absolutely. Were [Wilde and Styles overtly] romantic, or did she favor him? Nope. She was very professional. No one would be talking about this if this was a male director.”
