It has been almost a year since the Slam Dunk movie’s release in Japan, but it continues to get lots of attention. For those who can’t get enough of it, Toei Animation unveiled a new line of The First Slam Dunk official merch.
These new goodies may not have been released alongside the film’s theatrical run, but they’re still very much welcome for fans as there are a lot of goodies to choose from.
Aside from collectible figures and accessories, the merch line also features apparel that lets fans show off their fandom in style.
The First Slam Dunk Gets Official Merch Nearly One Year After Release
Slam Dunk is easily one of the most beloved sports manga and anime worldwide. Thus, it was no surprise that Takehiko Inoue’s The First Slam Dunk movie became a huge box office hit when it was released late last year.
Aside from being directed by Inoue himself, the movie is also the first new project in the franchise in decades.
Instead of featuring a brand-new story though, it instead focuses on one of the matches in the Inter High.
The film’s theatrical run in Japan ran for months, though it finally ended with a special screening a few months ago.
Even with the run ending, The First Slam Dunk is alive and well thanks to Toei’s new merch lineup.
As with most anime merch lines, this collection features themed keychains, stickers, towels, and all sorts of accessories.
There are even figures of the show’s main characters, including the likes of Sakuragi and Rukawa.

Replica Shohoku Jersey Set Is the Slam Dunk Merch Highlight
The highlight of the new merch is no doubt the apparel pieces. Specifically, the Shohoku jersey set is a must-have for the biggest Slam Dunk fans.
After all, the set accurately recreates the iconic Shohoku basketball team’s warmup uniform as seen in the movie and the 90s anime series.
Along with the jersey set, Toei’s new merch line also features t-shirts, a cap, and a hoodie with The First Slam Dunk and Shohoku logos.
For those who want to represent another team, the collection also features a white Sannoh Basketball tee. In the movie, Sannoh is the main opponent of Shohoku.
This new First Slam Dunk merch line is available for pre-order now until November 7 via the Toei Animation online shop. The items will then be released in May 2024.
Currently, these items are only available in Japan. There’s no word on international release plans.
