First Look at Maria Hill and Nick Fury in Set Video from Spider-Man: Far from Home

It's been known for a while that Nick Fury and Maria Hill will be making an appearance in Spider-Man: Far from Home, and now we have our first look at Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders on set in London.

Check them out:

We still have no idea what Fury and Hill will be doing in the movie exactly, but their presence does add fire to theory that Tony Stark will die in Avengers 4. Seeing that Tony was a major presence in the first Spider-Man movie, his death could lead to other people swooping in on the mentor position for Peter Parker—enter S.H.I.E.L.D. with Fury and Hill.

Of course, it's possible that Fury and Hill aren't in it for Spider-Man, but rather for the villain Mysterio. If Peter gets another mentor in the movie, I think it would feel a tad redundant; I would rather he just cross paths with S.H.I.E.L.D. and just team-up with them out of necessity. Who knows, maybe they could even bring in another hero to partner up with Spider-Man in this film?

We still have no official synopsis for the movie, but a lot are guessing that it would be a giveaway to the outcome of Avengers 4. Hopefully Marvel announces the synopsis after May 3, 2019.

Catch Spider-Man: Far from Home in theaters July 5, 2019.
