First Look at Bane from Gotham 5

Gotham has brought a lot of classic Batman villains to the small screen, and with the final season on the horizon, we're finally going to get the show's version of Bane. Thanks to ComicBookMovie, we get a look at the character in the show, and it's clear where the movie is drawing some influences.

Though Bane is usually portrayed wearing something akin to a luchador mask, Gotham is opting for a more Dark Knight Inspired look. With all the gear he has on the front, some have even compared him to Darth Vader, or worse:

It's also been confirmed that this season will see the arrival of the Mutant Gang from The Dark Knight Returns, and judging by Bane's duds, he could be a member of the group. ‘Mutant' also fits with his abilities to mutate himself into something more formidable.

If anything, some fans think that this version of Bane will be some kind of precursor to ‘original'; much like Jerome was always called the ‘Proto-Joker' in the show. He never really turned into the Joker, but his twin brother sure did.

With Gotham 5, the showrunners are planning to have David Mazouz finally suit up and become the Batman. Personally, I would have preferred a time jump so that they could cast someone older to take on the Batman role—even for just a few minutes. No offense to Mazouz, but he's going to have to do a lot of bulking up to look the part by the time the show ends.
