First Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Image Features Adam Warlock Joining The Team

It looks like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is ready to begin production. As a treat, Karen Gillan has shared our first glimpse at the team getting back together for the first time in years. In addition to that, they have a new member! Will Poulter, who will play Adam Warlock in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel, has joined the gang for an awesome photo op!

Gillan, who plays Nebula in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, shared the image on her official Twitter account. The photo features director James Gunn with the Vol. 3 cast. Check it out below.

The picture also features Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, and Sean Gunn. There's also a mystery man behind the director who could be a new addition to the cast or a crew member. However, fans are freaking out over Poulter finally joining the group.

Poulter's casting was confirmed last month after numerous speculations that he is joining a major MCU project. It has since been announced that the Maze Runner star will play Adam Warlock.

The idea of Adam Warlock being featured in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 isn't a new one. After all, fans have been hoping that the comic book hero will eventually get his MCU debut after a cool reference to the character in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 mid-credits scene.

It's great to know that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is finally getting ready to start filming. The sequel has long been delayed after Gunn was previously removed from the project then reinstated as director.

The third Guardians of the Galaxy film is expected to begin production later this month. It is currently scheduled for release on May 5, 2023, and will be part of Phase Four of the MCU.
