The next Magic: The Gathering set, Guilds of Ravnica, will be released this October and although the official spoilers aren't expected to arrive until next month, we finally get our first look at one of the cards from the upcoming expansion today, and it will please players who love playing Zombie decks.
Check out Macabre History:
"Choose a creature card in your graveyard with converted mana cost 1. Then chose a creature with converted mana cost 2 and a creature with converted mana cost 3. Return those creatures to the battlefield."
Its artwork, illustrated by Yeong Hao-Hang, looks pretty macabre and it clearly shows that the card is made for zombie decks. There's already a good amount of Zombie cards in Standard right now but the archetype hasn't seen much competitive play. Macabre History will most likely make zombies more playable thanks to its ability to resurrect multiple creatures.
Guilds of Ravnica will feature five guilds: Selesnya (green-white), Boros (red-white), Golgari (black-green), Izzet (blue-red), and Dimir (blue-black).
The following set, Ravnica Allegiance will feature the other five guilds: Azorius (blue-white), Rakdos (black-red), Gruul (red-green), Simic (green-blue), and Orzhov (black-white). It will be released in January 2019.
Guilds of Ravnica will be released on October 5.
