First Dragon Ball Super Movie Trailer Revealed

During a Bandai Namco Livestream, Toei Animation decided to surprise fans by revealing the first trailer to the upcoming Dragon Ball Super film. While the official trailer hasn't been fully released by Bandai Namco or Toei Animation yet, fans recording the stream have been able to release the 30-second trailer.

The trailer actually doesn't show much about the film's plot but it does reveal some stunning animation. It's clear that this film is going to be gorgeous and seeing Son Goku do the pose he did when first encountering Vegeta is really exciting.

As fans can see in the video, Goku is facing off with a new villain who has a mysterious green aura. The presenters also gave a minor spoiler by stating that this character could be a Saiyan, which seemed obvious.

Fans who are familiar with the franchise probably had Broly flashbacks when the villain was briefly shown. His full character design was not revealed in the teaser trailer but it looks like he will give Goku the fight of a lifetime.

It was also confirmed that the Dragon Ball Super film will have a worldwide release when it comes out, which is great. Whether it will be dubbed right away, or translated via subtitles is unknown at this point.

The Dragon Ball Super film comes out on December 20, 2018.
