There is little doubt that people are already looking forward to Devs although Alex Garland's new project is still a huge mystery. Luckily, the first trailer for the upcoming Hulu series teases the terrifying secrets surrounding Nick Offerman's terrifying character.
The trailer opens with a young man being led to his station although he's not quite sure what he's supposed to be working on. "What am I actually doing here?" he asks. Offerman's Forest has a cryptic response. "I'm not gonna tell you," he says. "Don't worry. You'll figure it out."
Naturally, that's when things get weird. Lily (Sonoya Mizuno) is now concerned about the man, who turns out to be her boyfriend. "The last time I saw him, he was headed towards Devs," she tells her friend. It's all a mystery as we see the man running away from Forest and it gets even stranger when Katie (Alison Pill) faces Lily, who doesn't even know what Devs is in the first place.
Unfortunately, we never actually learn what Devs is. However, there are several scary shots of Forest being shady and at one point, somehow attacking Lily. Will Lily ever find her boyfriend and will the people who are helping her even survive? We'll find out when Devs finally premieres this March.
The synopsis for Devs reads as follows:
"Devs follows the story of a young software engineer, Lily Chan, who investigates the secretive development division of her employer which she believes is behind her boyfriend's murder."
Devs will premiere on Hulu on March 5.
