First Designs for Falcon's Captain America Costume Have Been Revealed

We're all still waiting for the big reveal of Sam Wilson's Captain America outfit, which we will likely get during the Disney Plus series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. As we wait for the mini-adventures of Sam Wilson and James "Bucky" Barnes, comic book writer Rick Remender has revealed some of the early drafts for Falcon's Captain America costume. Remender was the writer who made Wilson Cap and even penned his first arc before leaving Marvel so this is some interesting insight.

Remender, who has also drawn a few comics, showed off some designs he did along with then-Captain America artist Carlos Pacheco. They're pretty interesting and it's fun to see the origins of this semi-iconic costume, though it's a shame that Wilson didn't stay as Cap for much longer. Remender only ever wrote the first arc for All-New Captain America before Nick Spencer took over the renumbered Sam Wilson: Captain America title.

Hopefully, Falcon and Winter Soldier follow some of these patterns or uses them to make an awesome Captain America costume for Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson. He's expected to be a major part of the MCU since Chris Evans won't be returning as Steve Rogers anytime soon and we can't wait to see him headline a movie someday.

Falcon and Winter Soldier is expected to come to Disney Plus by August 2020.
