FINALLY: Our First Look at Brie Larson as Captain Marvel

We've been waiting for it and now we finally have it; our first official look at Brie Larson in next year's Captain Marvel. It might not be internet breaking but fans will be happy to know that her costume is indeed the wonderful red and blue design that artist Jamie McKelvie worked on. We now know what she will look like in her solo movie and, possibly, Avengers 4 so let's bask at this moment.

Revealed by Entertainment Weekly after they teased it with Larson herself, it's a fairly simple image of Earth's Mightiest Hero staring at something she's about to punch. Larson definitely looks like the Carol Danvers we all know and love. This was a long time coming.

Of course, there are more things we want to see from the movie aside from her costume. Set in the 90's, this movie will also have the Skrull and Kree going at each other, with Ronan the Accuser somehow also making his way into the movie. As the universe's second superhero - Captain America technically being the first - adding the Kree/Skrull War definitely adds gravitas to her story.

Let's also not forget younger versions of Nick Fury and Phil Coulson, as well as Jude Law making his MCU debut. Many are hoping that he will be Mar-Vell but we'll have to wait and see.

Teased at the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War, we will finally know the extent of Carol's power when Captain Marvel comes out on March 8, 2019.
