Square Enix revealed a new character and details about Final Fantasy XV at its Active Time Report Sunday.

The video game company's director, Hajime Tabata, and marketing manager, Akio Ofuji, unveiled the new character Aranea Highwind. Known as the Niflheim's Third Army Corps 87th Airborne Division's commander and a ‘Dragoon' within the Imperial military," Highwind is reportedly skilled in aerial combat. The report also featured Highwind during combat, as well as some magic used in battle.

Meanwhile, according to a tweet by Tabata via Siliconera, there's another playable demo set to be revealed, with details pending until March.

As for the Final Fantasy XV release date, the Japan-based company didn't set an official date but confirmed its 2016 release, as announced last year at the Active Time Report panel at PAX in Seattle. The date of release will be unveiled at an event called Final Fantasy Uncovered, which will take place on March 30 at 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time. Open to the public, it will be chock full of "major announcements and surprises."

Starting Friday, February 5 at 4:00 p.m. PT, fans can start to RSVP via the official website of Final Fantasy Uncovered. It will also be made available on live streaming at Square Enix's YouTube and Twitch channels.

Square Enix may reveal the release of Final Fantasy XV right after Final Fantasy Uncovered, but then again there still are a lot of months before 2016 ends. I guess we'll just have to wait until March 30 to know the game's official release date.
