Final Fantasy VII Remake Director Hypes Up New Bosses in the Game

Final Fantasy VII Remake has a lot of people talking since we are pretty close to the end of 2019 and many feel like this game is going to dominate 2020. As someone who pre-ordered one of the game's special editions, it will be hard to appear unbiased when it comes to this game, though most of us will assume that this will turn out great, thanks to good visuals, fun combat, and the original game's story.

We all knew that there would be some big changes, like those odd-looking ghosts that Aerith and Cloud see, which later fight all of AVALANCHE. However, Nomura has also confirmed that there would be some new bosses in the game, teasing a completely different end boss for the Midgar portion of Final Fantasy VII, which is what this remake is based on.

Here's what Nomura revealed in the Square Enix Blog:

"With regard to new characters, of whom I said during past interviews that there would be 'none' – though they aren't main characters, their numbers ended up growing considerably in the process of creating a rich depiction of Midgar. When you think of Midgar's final boss, you probably think of the M.O.T.O.R., but in this game new bosses will appear and add to the excitement of the story even more."

None of the new bosses have been revealed since we've only seen updated versions of the older enemies, which isn't a bad thing. One initial fear many fans had with the remake was that it would remove all of the goofy elements from the original game but that doesn't appear to be the case, with all the ridiculous enemies and fun mini-games making a comeback.

Final Fantasy VII Remake comes out on PS4 on March 3, 2020.
