While there isn't a release date in sight, there is a lot of anticipation for the upcoming Final Fantasy VII remake. The graphics look great and it has a real-time combat system that looks really fun, so we can only hope it lives up to the hype. Tetsuya Nomura, the game's director, has recently revealed some new details about the remake and it should excite fans.

According to an interview with Weekly Famitsu (via Siliconera), Square Enix is already planning on releasing more news about the game. Whether that involves a release date is still unknown but some details are better than none at all.

Development is moving faster than expected, which should make fans happy about the game's progress. Knowing that the progress is moving along better now than it was before could mean we get better news this time.

It was also revealed that the AVALANCHE members from the game's beginning will get much more development than they did previously. While they were likable enough in the PSOne game, most people forgot about them after they died. Here is hoping that they feel like better characters this time around.

Still no release date on the Final Fantasy VII remake. Fans can make due with the original version of the game, which is available on a number of gaming systems.
